Typical hierarchy of stratigraphic units. The Code refers to the North American Stratigraphic Code that is generally considered the ultimate authority in stratigraphic nomenclature. Typically, Chronostratigraphic and Lithostratigraphic subdivisions are both used in a reference sections for publication.

Well 1403 from the old stratigraphic column published in 1986 contains various formation tops that were and are used today as formal stratigraphic intervals. Import this log into Petra and the other logs for the purpose of correlating the tops in Well 1403 to the other wells.
