The mistake that took place was that the Ramsay house was not searched properly. In my opinion if the police and others had searched the house properly then the kidnapping would not have switched into murder. There was a scene of homicide after they discovered the body of Jon Bennet from the basement (Nickell, 2016). In the body of Jon Bennet noticed that she hurt badly since there was a horrific fracture in her head. Jon Bennet was assaulted sexually as well. Therefore, I believe that the only mistake that occurred was negligence while searching during investigation.
