In the twenty-first century, the application of digital forensic and wearable devices is on the rise as they are effective. Activity trackers are the best example of wearable devices. Currently, wearable devices have gained popularity as the technology progress since they are used in various ways. The activity trackers and smartwatch had gained popularity since many people want to stay fit and healthy to avoid lifestyle diseases. On the other hand, digital forensic has help investigative agencies in the investigation as well as recovery of material related to cybercrime using digital devices found on the place of crime. This essay will explore the advantages of wearable devices and digital forensics.

Wearable devices improve personal responsibility and self-monitoring since one can be able to access his or her individual health data without the aid of a healthcare practitioner (James, & Petrone, 2016). Data that was only available to doctors and nurses such us resting heart rate, HVR, and heartbeat among other information are successfully delivered to an individual iPhone for instance.

Wearable devices are useful in sensitizing an individual about his or her operation rates. Most devices have the capability to check health metrics which enables people to know how their day to day activities are affecting their bodies (Tong, 2018).
