You are required to write a report to the Jury Chair explaining your opinion on Telenet’s Annual Report 2011. Your report should address the following aspects:
1. Whether the content of the Telenet Annual Report 2011 is consistent with the issues in the materiality matrix? Introduction

The annual reports of the companies provide the company's financial accounting reports that help in recognizing the financial performance of the company throughout the last financial years. It helps in assessing the financial position of the company. Apart from this, by the information of the financial report, the users of the financial reports use to get the information of the initiative or investment of the company, which in coming future can support the company's financial growth. Besides this, it provides the information about the important initiatives of the company that can be profitable for the company in near future so that help in making important financial or investment dictions. Thus the investors and shareholders of the company are benefitted by the financial report of the company (Alexander, Nobes and Ullathorne, 2016). However, the integrated financial report provides the sustainability report of the company along with the financial accounting report. The sustainability report provides the information about the sustainability initiatives of the company.

Question 1

The sustainability study enables in encouraging the appropriate analysis and the assess sustainability by showing the related disclosures that enable in focusing on the latest evolution. The integrated type of the reporting is being made by showing the practices of the reporting which is lagging the response by showing the lack of the connection. Therefore the enhancement of the study shows the appropriate financial responses that are involved with showing the lack of the financial information and also it is being used by showing the appropriate enhancement of the report. According to the case study the company, it is clearly come out the case shows the widespread role of materiality and completeness in measuring the quality of the sustainability reporting (Kew and Watson, 2012). Furthermore, it reveals that an incorporated strategy is vital to the growth and development of an integrated report. Furthermore, by showing the significance of linking the indicators of the financial along with sustainability the case uncovers the threats and challenges that company may face to develop the integrated reporting for the company. The case also promotes to provide critical reflection on the motivational factors behind the sustainability reporting of the company. Furthermore, by the active procedures of analyzing the revealed information it provided adequate information about the financial reporting procedures and integrated the report with the corporate social responsibility report, sustainability practices, accountability and ethics of the business (Krivogorsky, 2012).

The company delivers the services in the field of the cable TV, high-speed internet, as well as telecom services mainly for the local customers in Flanders and Brussels. The company also delivers services to the organization in Belgium and Luxembourg. On the Euronext Brussels Stock Exchange, the company's shares are listed. Apart from this, the company has positioned in the BEL20 stock market index. The company Telenet is also a member of the Dow Jones and takes a position in the Dow Jones sustainability world indices. The company is also added in the FTSE4Good index (Libby, Libby and Short, 2014). The company tries to provide true and fair value in their financial statements to provide accurate information to the stakeholders of the company. The important stakeholders like the customers, employees, management, and the investors, as well as the shareholder of the company, are the users of the financial statements. The company tries to provide them actual information about the financial transactions as well as the non-financial activities of the company that helps in the growth of the company as well as these support in meeting the stakeholders' objectives (Schroeder, Clark and Cathey, 2011). The company provides true and fair information about the sustainability-related policies of the company. The sustainability policies and practices of the company have been provided in the annual reports of the company. Besides this, the materiality issue is also described in these reports.

Question 4

The company Telenet in its annual report all its sustainability program or sustainability accounts has incorporated with the financial accounting report. The financial accounting reports of the company display the company's financial performances throughout the last financial year that is most important for the user of the annual report of the company. However, the sustainability initiatives are also important that support the sustainability of the company and help in improving the sustainability quotient of the company (Nobes and Parker, 2016). The company Telenet incorporates its financial accounting report with its corporate social responsibility report or sustainability report that helps in recognizing the sustainable initiatives of the company. Hence, it provides the report of the sustainability of the company. Currently, the corporate social responsibility plays important role in developing the company growth within the society. The society prefers the companies which are socially responsible company and have some corporate social responsibility strategy that helps them in providing effective services to the society. As the Telenet provides the entire information in its annual report about its financial accounting report and sustainability report in an integrated form thus, it improves the users' perception about the company. They perceive that the company is highly responsible company and they want to invest in the important project of the company as the company is a highly sustainable company (Oppermann, 2009).

Conclusion 

The Telenet Company provides great emphasis on providing an integrated report that helps in incorporating the financial report and the company with the sustainability report of the company. Hence, it provides the actual information about the company so that help in providing the information about the social initiative that helps in improving the sustainability quotient of the company (Powers and Needles, 2012). The integrated report provides the actual information about the company that helps in measuring the actual position of the company as well as help in effective forecasting about the future position of the company and help in making an important investment decision.
