i) Potential follow-up, including names, addresses and contact details of at least two relevant voluntary sector organisations which could support the client

b A favorable place for carrying on the meeting between a head teacher and parents in order to discuss the behavior of the child is the school or a private meeting place or even in a doctor’ clinic as per the need and the requirement. The meeting will either take place in the school or it can also take place at some private place of meeting if the issue of discussion is very serious. As the mentioned issue over here is that of the child behavior.
C The service providers involved here are the head teacher and the parent of the child and there can also be some third party service providers like a psychiatrist if there is any serious issue with the child and if the teacher is suggesting for any treatment like counseling.
D The questions that the service provider (Head teacher) might ask are
- Have there been any disturbing events that the child has faced recently?
- Any significant event that took place during the childhood that needs a special mention?
- The parents will also share the childhood history of their child or any notable events that have taken place
- If the service providers are non English speakers then a translator must be kept who would translate and interpret the conversation between the head teacher and the parents of the child.
There must not be any tampering done with the news. It is the duty of the head teacher to see that none of her words or actions is hurting the emotions of the parents or that of the child.
G. Conflicts that can arise during this process are
- Fear of the loss of confidentiality on part of the parents
- Parents can initially be very reluctant in sharing their family history or the childhood history of their child.
These conflicts can be resolved by providing the parents with complete security regarding their personal details and personal information. Apart from this, proper cooperation and patience is also needed on the side of both the parent and the head teacher. If something serious is noticed in the child’s behavior like hyper activeness or lack of concentration then a Doctor must be consulted to assure the parents regarding the necessary steps needed for curing properly detecting and curing the illness of the child.
H. The outcomes of this session could possibly help the teacher and the parents to reach to a conclusion regarding the behavior of the child and also to decide about the further steps that is to be taken for helping and supporting the child.
