Techniques

The technique of robo-warehouse used by the AB InBev at its warehouses is a significant technological development in the supply and chain management sector. It will reduce the carbon emissions, increase productivity and efficiency in the working. It will be equal to taking millions of vehicles off the road in a year(Kim, Wagner, & Colicchia, 2018).  

The other technique if using drones in the mining industry to capture the photos which cannot either be taken by a man or it involves dangerous developments. The drones can increase the monitoring over the work with fine quality works.

Pros of each technique

The hazardous works can be done by the use of technology without any adverse effects on workers.

The work can be done with more proficiency involving finer details leading to better quality work

Cons of each technique

Loss of employment for low skilled workers leading to further economic inequality. This may raise the social tension and provoke unemployed youth to indulge in crime. The unemployed youth which is the backbone of society may get indulged in various kind of addiction leading to the destruction of society(DuHadway, Carnovale, & Kannan, 2018).

The ease brought about by technology brings laziness in human beings like now people keep watching TV during free time instead of going out and playing outdoor games. A similar effect is of social media which is destroying the student life and reducing face-to-face interaction(DuHadway, Carnovale, & Kannan, 2018).

Use in future

The technological advancement is the part of civilization which is the need of time. Change is the law of nature so instead of badly criticizing the technology, we need to embrace technological developments without adopting its side-effect (Kaufmann, Esslinger, & Carter, 2018). Thus I would use the above-mentioned technology in future for the benefit of business in general, and society, in particular. There would be a further advancement in technology leading to further growth in innovation and the economy (Kumar & Paraskevas, 2018).
