Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Test
The second hypothesis is aimed at testing for any significant relationship between the mean income an individual earns and the mean amount of gift they receive. The most appropriate test in this case is the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
Interpretation of Analysis Results and Conclusions
From the regression analysis test, eject null hypothesis that there is no association between the amount of income and the amount of gift an individual receives.
We conclude that statistically, there is sufficient evidence to prove that there is a relationship between ones’ income and gift that they receive.
From the ANOVA output, the p value is less than the alpha value.
Therefore, we reject the null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between the income amount and the amount of gift that an individual receives.
We therefore conclude that statistically, there is a sufficient evidence to prove that there is a significant difference in the average amount of income of an individual and the amount of gift.
