The material provides useful insights on the concept of systems thinking, concisely explaining how they overlap with project management; I have learned that if project managers applied the simple tools of systems thinking, unique benefits can be derived in how to fram and solve problems through multiple relationshipps and perspectives with regard to project management (Sankaran,Haslett & Sheffield,2010)

3.Assess the relevance of systems engineering to project cases. Systems engineering, based on the content from the reading material, is a concept; systems engineering is a methodology as is project management plans, and they overlap. Howevr, depending on an organizations’ environment and the unique projets it is engaged, systems thinking and project management as methodologies can be disjointed, intersect partialy, and be subsets of each other

4.Describe how systems engineering concepts and methodologies can help a project, program and portfolio managers organise a project. All complex problems, for instance, project management,  rquire a systems thinking approach: most project management methodologies and theories, including SEBoK and PMBOK can be traced to systems engineering. Systems thinking enables better understanding of problems, helps develop systematic approaches to solving these problems, and fosters innovation; critical factors in project success

5.Explain the importance of appropriate selection of project management (PM) application systems in regards to meeting the internal and external objectives of a project. Systems are made of different discrete parts that constitute the whole; these discrete parts must work seamlesly to generate the desired outcomes, be it knowledge, data, or feedback that project managers then use to make decisions. Choosing the right PM systems will ensure effective use of prject management princips that will satsify internal and external objectives

6.Describe how the use of project management (PM) application systems can lead to effective PM knowledge management and decision making. The strategic use of knowledge from project management application systems that generate useful knowledge is critical for project success. The PM application systems collect and store useful information and can be used for managing projects effectively through informed decision making

7.Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of different manual and electronic project, program and portfolio (PPPM) application systems within each PPPM knowledge area over the life cycle of a project, program or portfolio. The objective of this week’s topic is to ask questions about the concepts and methodologies in The reading material provides useful content that helps one understand the disadvantages and advanatges of different systems, whether manual or electronic. Different projects have different requirements and are run in differing environments so knowing the different kinds of PPPM application systems will help a project manager chose the best appication suitable for the project

8.Identify how project, program and portfolio (PPPM) application systems can assist project managers to monitor performance and manage changes within a project.
