The report aims to provide a brief history of The Lane Sydney restaurant and prepare a Venue Condition Assessment form that allows the assessed condition of the restaurant.

- The venue’s description:
Located at 20 Hunter Street (opposite to Australia Square), The Lane - a bar-restaurant with 80 seats - is an ideal dining destination at any time of day and willing to satisfy customers' taste buds with casual European inspired dishes.
- The history with any refurbishments:
The Lane’s philosophy is ‘chefs set their sights on simple food with a good dash of originality at affordable prices' (The Lane Sydney 2018). The area where The Lane is located on now was built with the purpose of functioning a restaurant from small to medium size. That is why not much renovation was required to put The Lane into operation in 2008. However, it has still undergone two times of modification. In 2010, the side walls were replaced by large glass panels used as windows to bring more natural lights for the restaurant and help save costs. In 2014, the store was remodeled and expanded to meet the increased turnover as the restaurant made its reputation after redesigning the menu and hiring a new chef.
- Current operating condition and maintenance schedule:
The Lane is open from morning until 4 pm on Monday and until late on Tuesday through to Sunday. The daily main paired with matched special wine available for both lunch and dinner all week is the best way to enjoy your experience at The Lane (The Lane Sydney 2018). Also, the restaurant offers several zones for functions 6 days a week catering to different group size: product launch, parties... The storage room is checked at the end of every month while the whole restaurant is thoroughly maintained twice a year.
