1. Analyse and discuss the significance of internetworking for the chosen business case.
2. Develop hardware requirements for a network with device specifications including series, model and features.
3. Draw architectural internetworking design for the business in Netsim.

Introduction:

The network of an organization should be able to grow the productivity of the resources and people. No other company could match Cisco Systems regarding the maximizing of the availability of internetwork’s applications [1].

The challenges of project scopes of network analysis have been required to be analyzed with various advantages and limitations. For this Cisco connected “strategies for health and the operation services has been chosen”.

The report undergoes through internetworking of Cisco with hardware requirements. It has also shown the design of architectural internetworking in Netsim.  

a. Analysis and discussion of the importance of internetworking: 

The Cisco IOS has been the primary differentiator differentiating the internetwork solutions of “Cisco” from other counter-parts in the organization. The value-added intelligence of it has been supporting the users and the application though the overall enterprise. It has been providing data integrity and security for internetwork. The IOS has been controlling the resources cost-effectively. This has been done by unifying and managing distributed and complicated network intelligence [2]. It also works as the flexible vehicle that could ass latest features, applications and services into the network.

 In the support arena of the applications, the Cisco IOS has been delivering interoperability. This has been performed with additional protocols that are logical and physical and standards-based. It has been than any of the other industry’s internetwork supplier. Starting from the twisted pair cables to the optical fibers, LAN to the campus and then to WAN, UNIX to the Novell NetWare to the IBM SNA, the huge range protocol support of Cisco IOS could not be matched by any other architecture of network.

The project scope:

The project scopes deal with the growth of internet technologies where the companies has not been looking for fastest switch or powerful routers. Rather, the companies of today have been looking for the scopes of best system where all their network services and communications could be run. They have felt the requirements of network systems addressing the requirements of every employee with the demands of customers in everyplace anytime [3].

Challenges:

Current trends have shown that Cisco have been investing once again to improve their networks. The primary focus has been wisely investing in a network. Thus network would be able to promote the growth. They should further position Cisco to remain ahead of the ever-evolving requirements of business with ensuring competitive edges. As claimed by John Chambers, the CEO of Cisco, it have not mattered where there position have been. The challenge has been the process to create the ability of growth [4]. Another obstacle has been in using the IT to enable and change the business strategy of Cisco. This should be done with agility and flexibility.

b. Project hardware requirements:

Along with these the following are also needed to be considered.

• Five 2600 series of routers with power cables.
• Computers running the Microsoft Windows Vista or the XP2.
• Two Cisco series 2950 switches.

Benefits of Netsim:

The router of Netsim with the switch and other components of station simulation has been the most advanced in the industry. Within the Netsim, the simulations of the PCs, switches and routers are been included in a totally customizable network-simulation drag-and-drop package. Moreover, the NetSim has been simulating both the tables of routing protocols and the tables of switching bridges [5]. This has been allowing exiting outside the labs and designing Cisco’s own labs.

Limitations:

Every device could be added to the custom topology. However, the commands required to configure few devices have been limited relying over the version of license. For instance 3550 switches could be added to the CCNA or CCENT custom topology [6]. Despite this, the commands configuring a 3”550 switch” has been only supported in the NetSim for CCNP.

Conclusion: 

Cisco has been also minimizing the overall cost of the ownership. Cisco have studied important lessons about economic is the previous years. They have also learned to get out of their budget of IT with meeting the requirements that has been ever-changing for the companies and the customers. In the last decades Cisco has been thriving and has been able to afford the imposition of huge part of the budget to Information Technology sector. They have been altering the habits of their spending to buy those components which have been extremely necessary. They have been holding back over the up-gradation of equipments with adopting advanced technologies.
