4. How does the gender makeup of HR professionals help or hinder the perceptions of the effectiveness of the HR function?


5. What recommendations can you make to protect the company assets and minimize litigation while still allowing for individual differences and exceptions to the rule when managing diverse employees in your workplace


6. There is still a perception that HR is personnel. What are the differences? How can you differentiate the personnel side of things, such as benefits or compensation administration, from the HR side of things, such as organizational development or career planning?

Answers:

1.The top management of any organization does not understand the value of the HR department of the organization.  However, it is essential that the top management needs to be convinced that the HR plays a key role in the organization. It is important to convince them. The variety of the skilled labours and employees that the HR department has successfully recruited should be a convincing factor for the top management ("Why We Hate HR", 2017).The top management has a key role to play in the accepting or rejecting the role of the HR department in any business organization. The HR has a major role to play in ensuring that the values and positive culture is maintained in the business organization.   

2.It is essential that necessary changes have to be made such in the HR education such that the graduate students will be able to use their skills to align with the organizational strategies. In order to ensure that, a rigorous on job training is helpful and effective ("Why We Hate HR", 2017). The skills of the graduate students have to be aligned successfully with the organizational goals, such that they are able to work successfully for the organization.   

3.It is essential to develop such a recruitment procedure and criteria, such that the person-job matching as well as the person organization matching could be ensured. The skills of the personnel being hired have to be judged, along with taking a psychometric as well as skill test such that the compatibility of the skills and the organizations could be judged ("Why We Hate HR", 2017). The interview questions have to be developed critically such that the overall personality of the person could be judged. The past performances along with the confidence of the candidate have to be taken into consideration while the recruitment process is in progress.   

4.The gender of the HR professional has a strong connection with the perception and effectiveness of the functions of the HR. It has been observed that a woman HR professional has a stronger impact on the effectiveness of the HR functions, than a man ("Why We Hate HR", 2017). A man HR professional might hinder the perceptions of the effectiveness of the HR functions.    

5.It is recommended that the concept of unity and diversity has to be maintained yet successfully achieving the organizational goals. The HR department have to ensure that all the employees are respected with their individualism ("Why We Hate HR", 2017). However, respecting the culture of each other is important such that the sentiment of any individual is not adversely affected. Moreover, it is also recommended that effective team spirit have to be developed, such that the individual differences, does not affect the achievement of the organizational goals.   

6.The HR department has a key role to play in ensuring the effective working of the business organization ("Why We Hate HR", 2017). The HR department has the role of ensuing that the compensation and benefits of the employees are ensured, along with helping in organizational development. Thus, it is essential that the HR department ensures the well-being of the business organization as well as the employees.
