Introduction

The aim of this study is to provide service and engineering proposal to a company named Suez Recycle and Recovery which is operating in Australia. The company aims at recycling of wastes and management of the waste.

Engineering proposal

It is very important to manage the waste in such a way so that it is unable to create any problem or any imbalance in the environment. Solid waste management has become very difficult in large cities (Guerrero, Maas, Hogland, 2013). Landfill modernization is one of the important waste management technique which can be taken in to consideration. Industries across the world is producing wastes and they are getting dumped into nearby rivers as well as land. This leads to destruction of the land by reducing their fertility and dumping of wastes in various waterbodies including rive, pond, lake and many more is killing aquatic animals in a large scale and thus making the waterbodies more intoxicating. Thus, it is very important to produce a machine which would help to manage the wastes so that it is not dumped here and there. A machine should be made which would help to churn the wastes in such a way that even if it is dumped in nearby barren lands or waterbodies there would be no such effects in the ecosystem. The machine will churn the wastes and convert the wastes in to biodegradable wastes which can further be utilized by various farmers for agricultural use and other individuals of the country for various purposes. This technology can help in maintaining the balance in the ecological system.

Service proposal

The company which has been taken in to account for the research work is Suez Recycling and Recovery Pvt. Ltd. Operates in Australia. The company was established in the year 1985. It mainly operates in the field of management of wastes. Suez Environment is the parent organization of this company. The services that the company offers include recovery of various resources, provider of environmental solutions. It also includes safe disposal of various waste materials which cannot be reused. Other services include collection of wastes removal of wastes and its final disposal. Apart from all these services, other services which can be offered by the company Suez Recycling and Recovery Pvt. Ltd. is that it can convert the waste materials including both industrial and agricultural wastes in to various biodegradable fertilizers. Biodegradable fertilizers help in production of fruits and vegetables which is pure in nature. Biodegradable fertilizers cause negligible harm to the soil in which the agricultural products are grown. Suez Recycling and Recovery can also tie up with a company who are supplier of fertilizers to various farmers across the country. This can help the company to introduce the features and advantage of the use of biodegradable fertilizers among the famers who buys pesticides and insecticides from the suppliers. The tie up with a company who are in to the business of supplying fertilizers can help the Australian based Suez Recycling and Recovery company to enhance their business and increase the arms of the business by increasing their operations.

Estimation of the project  

Estimation of a project is a very important part. Estimation of a project includes the estimation of the cost which can be incurred for implementing the project, estimation of the duration of the project i.e. the total time required to complete the entire project. Now, the estimation is done on the services that the company is offering. Production of biodegradable services involves machineries and human resources. The fertilizer can be produced and become ready to be delivered in the market within 2-3 days. An approximate cost of $1400-$1600 is required to carry out the entire production process. The cost and duration of the service provided by the company should also be estimated. There involves a huge transportation cost because the biodegradable fertilizers need to get supplied to the various farmers. Each month transportation cost has been approximately estimated amounting to $250-$300. Other costs are also incurred which has to be estimated. Other costs which are incurred involves storing and packaging costs. The end product has to be stored in the warehouse of the company until it is being supplied to the customers. Proper packaging of the product is also required otherwise the fertilizer may get spoiled. Thus, the estimated amount for the storing of the product involves rent of the warehouse which has been estimated to an approximate amount of $60-$70. The packaging cost of the product has been estimated amounting to $80-$100. Salary to the employees and wages to the worker has been estimated amounting to $2000-$4000.

Invoice is the bill or a commercial document which is generally made by the company when it sells its product to another company. The invoice is made by the seller and a copy of it is sent to the company or the individual who is buying the product. Invoice helps the seller of the company to list all the products or the goods which is being shipped by the company or which is being sold by the company to another company or another individual. Invoices are sometimes settled in cash or it can be paid later. Here comes the concept of Bills receivable and bills payable. There is a proper format of forming the invoice. The format is known as the invoice template. In this research paper a proper invoice template of Suez Recovery and Recycle Pvt. Ltd. The invoice of the company will be formulated where the products and services of that the company has offered is mentioned. There exists an effective algorithm for the formation of invoice (GONG, WANG, 2015). The following is the sample of an invoice template.

Timesheet template

A timesheet is maintained by every company where the task of each and every employee is recorded and maintained properly so that the management of the company can understand the efficiency of each and every employee as well as worker of the company. Timesheet of an organization is generally maintained in the excel sheet. The data in the timesheet is updated by the employee in charge. Timesheet gives autonomy and authority to all the team member of a company to work how they want to or how they prefer to. Timesheet also helps the organization to adjust the entire workflow of the organization accordingly. Timesheets also help to provide an historical view of the project that has been done previously by the employees and the workers of the organization. The profitability of the efforts of an employee or a worker can be derived from the timesheets. Timesheets can be useful for the employees of the organization when it comes to asking for resources to the shareholders of the company.

There are two main components which are used while creating a timesheet. The first one is the Project name. Project name is the particular name of the project on which the team of employees of the organization is working upon. The project manager general write the name of the project or the project code and the employee name to whom the work is being assigned to. The second important component of the timesheet is Collection of Hours. The collection of hours is generally filled up by the team members of the organization. Here the start and the end time of the work is filled up by the team member. Apart from the working day the non–working days are also mentioned in the Timesheet by the team members of the company. There are other columns which include the Rate per hour and the total rate. In the rate/hour the fixed rate allotted to the employees or the workers is given and the total amount earned by the employee or the worker is calculated by multiplying the rate/hour with the total rate. This is how the monthly earnings of various employees are calculated. The following table shows an example of a timesheet template.

Conclusion

The aim of this study is to give engineering and service proposal to a company named Suez Recovery and Recycle operating in Australia. The main proposal which has been offered is to manage the wastes in such a way that it helps in maintaining the ecological balance. Along with the proposal an estimation for conducting the entire project has also been made.
