Discuss about the Love and Sexuality in Japan.

Answer:

Introduction

Japan is one of the fastest growing nations of the world, which has a high growth in GDP rate, thereby making their country more productive and rich. The people in the country, have been moralised in such a cultural development that they have become too much career oriented in nature. This has created an imbalance in the personal life, quality of life and work life of the people of Japan (Dore 2013).

With the imbalance that has been persisting in the life of the people of Japan, there is a gap between the social life, love life and work life of the people (Umene-Nakano et al. 2013). The aim of this essay is to analyse the imbalances in the life of the people of Japan, due to tedious work life, there customs of Konkatsu , the three highs of life in comparison with the three C’s of relationship and the work life balance charter proposed buy the Japanese cabinet, in order to promote the social life of the people and eradicate the issues prevailing within the economy .

Impact of Work Life on Love Life

Japan has faced rapid industrialization, war, and its aftermath has forced the country to face various developmental state system. There has been a great economic drop some decades ago, which has lead the people to focus in their current life situations. Their basic motive in life has been focussed in achieve better standard of living and economic stability in the lives of the people and country as a whole (Reinoos et al. 2014). This has generated a sense of work life priority in the society.

With the current chase in the work life, there has been a maintained pressure among the people. They have yet prioritized their  work life and thereby helped in sustaining and raising the growth rate of the economy (Okoshi et al. 2013). By perceiving the results of the organization and the economy, there has been a reduction in the quality of life and emotional structure of the society as a whole. By prioritizing work, the people have forgotten their personal life, thereby leaving no time to enjoy their individual, social , family and religious aspects of life. There has been a reduction in the birth rates, marriage rtes and percentage of sexual association among the adults of the country (Yoshitsubaki et al. 2013).

Konkatsu

As stated by Dales (2010), Konkatsu, or marriage hunting has been one of the most talked about topic in recent times. Mashiaro Yamada, has coined this term in relation to those where there has been a reduction in the marriage rates for the people. This word shows the obsession of the young generation if the country , where there has been a sharp reduction in the marriage rates of the people.  The people are looking for marriage partners , without any form of hesitation or embarrassment in the society. They have acknowledged the fact that they are not in a  society where the partners are going  to show up automatically. There are many unmarried people in the society, who have wasted their time in being busy with their career. Both the central and the local government of the country aims at promoting Konkatsu, due to the rise in the decline of birth rate. They have been stabilising various plans and strategies that would promote marriage.

At certain pints, Konkatsu have been misunderstood. Still, most women of Japan are of the notion that marriage would help them get a husband who would ensure all the comforts of life, with the high salaries (Nemoto 2008). They do not want to marry as love being one of the prime reason. Marriage has been associated with the notion of high salaried partner, rather than a loving or a caring one. There has been a high expectations of the women of Japan, rather than that of the other countries of the world. The expectation of the women are not being fulfilled by the men of the nation, hence, they have become passive in nature.

With the fear of meeting strange people in life, they have a wrong thought of meeting the wrong people and proceeding in life with a wrong choice made. They adjoin the characteristics of a human being as a partner with money. According to the society, money would be able to fulfil all the gaps in the life of people. Konkatsu has been facing various support from the leaders of the country, as that would help in framing the population structure of the economy, thereby, maintain the marriage and the birth rate of the economy. It is quite important to take the people of the nation, out from the thought that marriage is an association only to lead a comfortable life .

The Three Highs Verses the Three C’s of a Relation

The three C’s of life are choices , chances and changes. There are almost 35 percent sexless marriages in Japan. People have maintained an imbalance in their work life, in such a manner, that they do not provide their partners with the life they should live in. In order to maintain the economical status of themselves, the people of the country are unaware of the problem that have creep in to their lives (Yamada and Shirakawa 2013). This has created a fall in the birth rate of Japan.

Marriage is considered as a matter of choice for the people. One of the three c’s of life is choice. This choice helps in providing the people with the authority of choosing one s own future. The idea of marriage for women in Japan. Making a choice in order to choose their future life partner has become  a matter of great thought for these women. They choose their life partners in accordance to their financial status, rather than the emotional bond that is shared by the other.

This leads to lesser involvement of people in life, which further affects the rate of mirages and birth rates in Japan (Chandra 2012). There is lesser cohabitation rate of people in Japan. This creates a critical issue in the economy where even after being married , the people are not sexually related to their partners. Women of Japan do not involve themselves in taking chances in life. With the increase in income and literacy rate, there has been a reduction in the rate of marriages among the women of Japan (Applbaum 1995). Contradicting to this feature, there has been a reduction in the income of men, in the country, that has created a sense of insecure future and hence, has turned any women away from accepting the proposals of marriage.

Changes, being the third c of life and relationships help in seeking the changes that must be implemented maintain the morality of life. Avoiding marriages has become one of the most important concerns of the country. The people of Japan work too much, thereby leaving quite less amount of time for themselves and for the family (Iwata-Weickgenannt 2013). In order to maintain the policies of the company faithfully, the people of Japan have indulged themselves in maintaining the work life of theirs, and have completely forgotten about the social customs and personal life of themselves.

Work Life Balance (400)

With the inequality in the maintenance of life by the Japanese people, the government and the local government of the country have initiated a major movement known as the work in life balance plan. With the change in the pattern of life of the people. There has been a major effect on the leisure, health, family life, social life and live life of the people. There has even been a hindrance toward the religion of the people. This has lead to various stress and sense of  being tire among the citizens of the country (Raymo et al.  2015).

In order to overcome the problems of the country, there has been an initiation made from the government of the country, in order to maintain the alignment in the country. Work life balance consists of many facets. There are five different life domains , family, work, health , religion and leisure. The measures under  work life balance program has been initiated in such an organized manner, that helps in covering  the four aspects of the human life successfully. It helps in achieving the organizational appearance, employment, financial appearance and social exchange of the people . All these four aspects of life are able to provide success.

Working smart, using the possibilities of work life balance measures offer and achievement gained for aiming towards the desired life style thereby maintaining the balance in life. By taking up the work life balance strategies, it would pose as a great remedy for the people of the country (Shirahase 2010). They would be successful in maintain the balance of life, thereby providing equal attention and care towards the various aspects of the life. Work life balance clearly instigates an issue  for the governments , organizations and the individuals. It must be used innovatively so that it helps in pertaining the desired objective of the plan associated. Work life balance should not be solely be used for female employees (Kumagai, Fumie, and Masako 2016). Even the male members of the family must be presented with the work life balance. It would help them to change the current situation of the economy, thereby focussing on maintaining a balance in life. It would help in pertaining and limiting the current situation of life, thereby, helping the both themselves and the family.  It is one of the logical a step initiated by the people of Japan, that would help in approaching for a better future in life. It is an important concept that helps in examining the various aspects of life.

Conclusion

Japan is one of the fastest growing nations of the world, which has a high growth in GDP rate, thereby making their country more productive and rich. The imbalances in the life of the people of Japan, due to tedious work life, has created a major impact in the life of the people of Japan. There has been reduction in the birth rate marriage rate and the rate of sexual association of the partners of the country. There has been a sharp reduction in the birth rate of the nation, that might lead to serious issues in the future. In order to overcome these problems, various sociologists and other professors have generated the Konkatsu custom of the country (Quah, Stella and Fumie Kumaga  2015). This helps in providing the people a choice of selecting their partners at their own will. Yet, marriage is associated with a feeling of secured future financially, rather than with the help of , love and emotions. In order to overcome the problems of the country, there has been an initiation made from the government of the country, in order to maintain the alignment in the country. Marriage has been associated with the notion of high salaried partner, rather than a loving or a caring one. There has been a high expectations of the women of Japan, rather than that of the other countries of the world (Paul, Richard, and Linda Elder 2013). The expectation of the women are not being fulfilled by the men of the nation, hence, they have become passive in nature. to overcome such issues in nature, it is quite important to maintain the work life balance of the people in the country.
