Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela a great revolutionary leader who served as the first black president of south (1994 to 1999). His also attributed to being a champion of freedom and equality across the world, where he influenced many people especially the oppressed to take up the fight for equality. In addition to this, Mandela is attributed for his leadership style that aligned complex issues in politics, social and economical to give a sustainable environment. This leadership style also led to his success in reconciliation endeavours where, criminals of the apartheid regime were accorded amnesty so long as they admitted their wrong doings. Moreover, he was an awardee of the Nobel peace prize (1993), before being president. Finally, he has an international day named after him (July 18) which is meant to spread world wide peace (Nelson Mandela Foundation, 2017).
