In this report, I am going to discuss about the benefit and the implication of internet of things in healthcare. Internet of things has a major role in today’s world. Each sector is getting associated with internet of things. There are several benefits of implementing IoT in the healthcare services (Gope & Hwang, 2016). This helps in saving lives in case of the emergency, such as heart attack, sudden sugar fall or asthma attack. Moreover, the technology helps to reduce the cost as the need of visiting the hospital also reduces. This saves time and cost. The applications of Iot in healthcare are, no need to wait for the treatment in case of emergency purposes, drug management enhances, increases patients tracking easily. In spite of the benefits, the IoT faces a lot challenges regarding the security. Security provided by IoT lacks at some point.
