Answer:
1. Feasibility Analysis
Technical Feasibility: Technical feasibility of the project refers to the ability of the infrastructure of the organization for using the information system that would be developed through the current project. After analyzing the present IT infrastructure of the organization it can be said that some minor change management activities would be required for handling the new information system within the workplace of the organization. Therefore, the project is feasible for the organization from the technical aspects.
Economic Feasibility: Economic feasibility refers to the financial resources required for the project. The project budget would be analyzed at the beginning level. The budget would be made with the respect to the specifications of the organization and the financial status of the organization. Therefore, the project would be feasible from the economic aspects of the business organization.
Operational Feasibility: The operational feasibility refers to the ability of the new system to meet the requirements of the organization. Based on the current status of the business operations of the organizations and the specific needs for improvement, the system would be developed. Therefore, the system would definitely be able to meet the requirements of the organization. Hence, it can be concluded that the project is feasible from the operational aspects of the organization.
2. Requirements Analysis
Functional Specification: The functional requirements of the project are the operations that need to be performed by the system. The system would be able to handle the customers’ details, the details about the packages, ware house maintenance data management, management of the employees and the management of the delivery services. The payment operations for the business activities also need to be incorporated into the system.
Non-functional Specification: The non-functional requirements of the project refer to the quality of the new system. The system must be able to perform the operations without any error and less time. The functions of the system should be easy to handle by the employees of the organization. The system should also be able to provide clear reports regarding the different types of the information required for the decision making process of the business organization.
3. Project constraints
There are three most important project constraints available in the area of the project management. They are schedule, cost and scope of the project, also called as the triple constraints of the project management triangle.
Scope of the project: Scope of the project refers to the particular objectives and deliverable of the project. In this case, the objective of the project is to develop an information system for handling the business operations of the case study organization. The deliverable of the project would a detailed project schedule, budget plan, developed system and detailed documentation of the system.
Cost of the project: The detailed budget of the project has been calculated in the schedule. Required cost of the project is $24200.00.
