HRM233 Training and Development: WSQ Framework

Introduction

WSQ Framework and VUCA Environment are business methodology which is adopted at large scale to reduce the chances of risk management and waste extraction in each department of the organization. Both the methods are invented by different countries to improvise the economic conditions. WSQ framework is invented by Singapore to reduce the unemployment and VUCA Environment was developed by the U.S Army war college (Hilliard, 2012). 

Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Framework

WSQ framework was invented by the Singapore government under which adults were provided adequate training to develop some sort of skills to get an employment opportunity. This was invented for the purpose of increasing the life standard of the individual and for increasing the national income of the country as well as to reduce the unemployment of the country. Adequate diplomas and certificates are provided to the participating candidates so that they could get a better job from the same (Cole, et. al., 2014).

For instance, Singapore was struggling with the less number of working people in various industries and due to this various companies shut down or reduced at small scale business. To improve the industry level and business level of the Singapore, they invented this strategy so that fresh energy of the country in the form of adults could be utilized. And this training is useful for candidates taking training as this will improve their life standards (Bryant, 2010). 

VUCA Environment

Volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity are four elements which constitute the VUCA Environment and this environment was invented by the U.S army war college. This environment helps the organization to assume the uncertainties of the business market conditions and as per those assumptions adequate strategies are developed to reduce the risk and loss factors. Implications of these elements also define behavioral conditions of the organization (Bennett & Lemoine, 2014). The basic meanings of these elements are:

• Volatility: It means analysis of future condition of the organization through application of certain policies and rules.
• Uncertainties:This term states the undefined or not assumed conditions of the business market.
• Complexity:Complex means the difficult situations and in relevance to the organization, it refers to the generation of the situation which could create various issues for the organization.
• Ambiguity:It defines the confusion of cause and effect. In other words, a unique situation occurs for the organization which was never experienced before hence, understanding situation is being difficult for the organization (Moore, 2014).

Challenges of VUCA Environment and WSQ framework

Framework of Workforce Skills Qualifications was invented by the Workforce Development Agency and VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment was invented by the U.S army war college to determine the future market conditions to prepare adequate strategies to reduce the effect of the particular business environment.

WSQ framework does not require any kind of degree or any diploma, infect it supports the uneducated people of the country who are not able to find any job due to lack of skill for certain fields and departments. Implementation of this methodology helps to increase the productivity of the country and it increases the life standards of the candidates through getting a respected job.

VUCA Environment helps the organization to identify the factors through which unexpected conditions of the dynamic business environment could be assumed and as per that environment, appropriate methods could be invented so that adequate results could be invented (Kail, 2010). 

Conclusion

This report concludes the effectiveness of the WSQ framework and VUCA environment in improving economic conditions of the certain place to build the adequate global economy. WSQ framework determines that through implementation of this framework, country’s performance conditions in terms of productivity and in terms of economy will increases. VUCA environment helps the organizations of U.S to develop effective strategies to deal with the unexpected conditions of the dynamic business environment (Kail, 2010).
