This research aims at highlighting how Castlerock has enhanced its productivity and thus has emerged as an important export as well as import company. The weaknesses and the threats which are faced by the company are also discussed in the paper. The environment policies, competition and the social obligations and technological advancements affect the productivity of the company. It will also focus on the future business potential of Castlerock for an improvement in the production.

Effectiveness and usefulness of the learning experience

I have a learned how the increasing fish demand in India has led to the emergence of various companies. The fish industry is the main hub of Castlerock fisheries. I have also analyzed and found that the different preservation techniques which are used by the company have also helped in increasing its productivity. The project has also given me an idea of how to manage the human resources and work in co-ordination with them. It has also helped in getting an idea of choosing the employers on the basis of their skills. I have also analyzed and learned how the business expands and it develops quickly in a short span of time. The advancement of research and technology has helped me in getting innovative and cost effective methods and ideas which will help in storage and processing of the food products. The research centers which are associated with marine departments have also given me an idea to conduct further studies in this field. It will also help me in resolving the future issues which are associated with this industry such as illegal fishing, overfishing and many more. It has given me an idea of narrowing the sample size and carrying out further research in these fields. It has also given me idea of how to collect the data and get access of the various research locations within the time frame (Golightly and Schneider 2016).

Usefulness of the learning process

This learning experience will help in increasing the productivity either through implementation of different procedures, expanding the production, increasing the output or finding out more innovative for the enhancement of the fish industry. It will help me in if I get the job in such industry and to improve the productivity of the company. It has also helped me in getting an idea of how to develop quality product with the limited resources and thus help the company to develop its future prospects. I have also developed the monitoring skills while carrying out the entire research and thus it ensures compliance with the international standards. I have also got an idea in undertaking massive research and collaborating with the companies for enhancing the production and minimizing the optimum yield (Bhide and Karmarkar 2013.).

Experience through the learning process

The foremost thing I have learned is how the format of the research is done which will help in carrying out the objectives. It has also given me an idea of the introduction, research aims, objectives and hypothesis that is to be developed by the research scholar in his/her particular field. It is also important to go through the authentic websites, research articles and newspapers before conducting the research work. The topic must also be discussed with the mentor and the proceedings of the research must be carried out only after the approval so that I can correctly proceed with the work (Brooks 2013).

Learning elements through the research process

Business research will be helpful in enhancing my knowledge and also developing effective decision making skills. In every business organization, there are necessary and important steps that are to be followed for the success of the business organization. It is also important to know about the people of that geographical area so that the business can be carried out effectively. Moreover, research will help me to know the pros and cons that are to be faced by similar food processing industry in India. It is also necessary to have an idea of the additional resources which are required for the successful operation of the business (Blamey et al. 2014).

Justification for chosen activities in the previous assignments

The first assignment has helped m e in knowing the business operation of Castlerock fisheries. An in-depth analysis of the business operation of Castlerock will help me in carrying out further research and knowing the nooks and corners of such business. The assignment has also helped me in catering the demand of the huge customer base with the limited resources.

In the second assignment, an outline of the research activities on the research topic is conducted. It has also given me knowledge of carrying out quantitative research and surveys which will make the research work more successful (Collis and Hussey 2013).

Applicability of this research in future

This research will help me in conducting future research in my academic career. It has also helped me in selecting the literature if I desire to be a future research scholar. I can also effectively choose the methodology and the analysis process which will help me in getting the desired outcome. The research will help me in completing my course and attaining the degree. It will also help me in getting better placements. The pros and cons which are associated in the food processing industry will also help me in getting a job. I can also take effective steps in removing the problems of this industry (Bryman and Bell 2015).

Conclusion

Thus, I can conclude that selecting this research topic will help me in getting an in-depth idea of the food processing industry especially the fish industry. I have also selected the survey questions so that I can get an accurate viewpoint of the customers. I must also say that this research will not only help me academically but it will also help me in future if I want to be a research scholar. I can also compare and get a perception of the technological advancement in the food processing industry.
