There are various types of leadership style, such as autocratic leadership style, persuasive leadership style, democratic leadership style, leisure fair style, etc. that help in a different situation to guide the subordinates for pursuing the aim of the organization.

Leadership is a significant function that helps to maximize and efficiency and achieving the goals in the life. I have learned the importance of leadership and has also determined that power is the ability to exercise control over a group people. I have learned how to use my leadership skills and knowledge in an appropriate manner (Shotter and Tsoukas, 2014). I had scolded on of my team mates for sending mail in an unprofessional manner and did not wait for me to review before sending. The team mate was irresponsible and also did not followed a professional method of sending the main. However, the reaction got from them was that I was a bit authoritative (Burns, 2012). The situation helped me to learn many things such as getting the work done and making the quiet members to contribute their efforts in work. The authoritative leadership styles enabled me to get the work from my team mates. This was the moment when I switched from leadership to management because I realized that the task was not getting done. The situation showed me the importance of changing styles and skills in order to get the job done from the team members. I was more people-oriented and assist the team members in their work, but the tasks were not getting done from my team mates in the way it should then I became task oriented. The authoritative leadership style to carry out the tasks effectively and I leadership is about both people and task (Daft, 2011). Now, I can react positively to the complex issues and also when there is worst situation. I learned the importance of switching from leadership to management and also to become an effective manager. I will always ensure that I am more adaptable to both task and people on the basis of that I will not react rudely or badly. I will deal with the uncertain and complex situation and focus on executing the tasks in an appropriate manner (Good and Sharma, 2010). The authoritative leadership can influence the views, attitude, and style of the team mates but it will help to get the job done in a professional manner.
Leadership ideas and concepts
There are different leadership styles like: laissez-faire, autocratic, participative, transformational, and transactional. I thought that the autocratic style is an old school of leadership style and I prefer democratic leadership style (Driver, 2013). However, it is observed that authoritative style suits me most. The characteristics of the authoritative style of the leadership are being described to be showing the appropriate benefits and also the limitations as it is being characterized by me (Davies, 2013). The benefits which can be characterized by me is showing the decisions which are quickly used and also the autocratic style of the leadership can be easily maintained by showing the illustrations of the works. The relationship between the team members can be made with showing the effective decision-making styles as it is present in me. The disadvantages of this concept as it is being obtained by me are defining the diminishing of the morals, and also the willingness of the team members are also seen in this case. This is simply identifying the appropriate works as it is being considered in this case of mine and also the explanation is being made by showing the explanations of the work (Giuliani and Kurson, 2007). I have learned how to use skills, style, and knowledge on the basis of the situation and dealing with my team mates. The main aim is to achieve the goals with the efficient use of the team members. The get the work done with the use of the authoritative leadership style.
Simulation in future
I wanted to analysis my leadership style with the theories available for leadership practices in several books. I have evaluated all these theories such as the authoritative leadership theory, persuasive leadership theory, Democratic leadership theories, etc. Besides this, the theories that state that character can be taught and leadership can be built by developing required skills and qualities (Crossan et al., 2012).
After that, I measure my own style of leadership with the theories that help me in knowing that in which types of leadership quality I have possessed. Moreover, how I work with my subordinates. The simulation model helps in assessing the leadership style adopted by me in order to direct the team which I have to handle in order to bring out the important organizational tasks from them. I have efficiently interacted with the team members who work for me (Pendleton and Furnham, 2012). I have effective communication skill that helps me in interacting with the people. I provide them effective guideline in order to direct them to the task they have to do.
Conclusion:
I have learned many things during my business study curriculum, here I was taught characters, which are required in a leader such wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence. These support me in becoming an effective leader. I learned that using authorities style helped me to get the work done in a professional manner. It may influence the thinking and views of my team. Initially, I thought that the participative leadership style is better in present business situation in comparison to the conventional autocratic style. However, afterward I understood that leadership style should be flexible and according to the needs, the style should be adopted. My future goal is to be an effective leader and manager. I will focus on both people and work in order to achieve success in my life.
