In the view point of Marshall, (2015), motivation is the result of self efficacy related to a particular task. It is the belief, that makes one inclined to make some choices and put forth some believes that one is capable to doing it. The ability to learn or read arises when one find the task is competent enough to do. It is then, a person is liable to overcome any kind of difficulty if arises at any point of time. Thus, motivation is the primary and the most powerful key for one to start reading or writing (Nilsson, 2016).
My motivation for literature is my self-concept about the subject and reading and valuing what others have to say. I keep on thinking about various topics and subjects that keeps on happening with me. I like to know about nature and the natural phenomenon and also about nature of people. These are my interest that draws me towards different subjects and books. Thus, apart from my course schedule, I also like to read books on different other subjects. By reading, I develop self confidence and enlarge my knowledge that also help me to develop my understanding on various subjects.

I completely agree with the author because reading and learning indeed help to empower education and knowledge in a person. Everyone wants to be educated and face the world with confidence. Thus, motivation towards reading in order to enlarge knowledge, vocabulary along with better personality is the major reason for someone to read. However, I would like to contradict this view because there are many people who read and learn out of interest and that is not related to information.
