Question 1 (40 marks. Word limit: 500-550 words)

Using your selected organisation as an example, discuss how human resource management (HRM) functions can help staff to relate to others positively and effectively to influence and encourage others to achieve the organisation’s outcomes.

  • Discuss THREE HRM roles that the selected organisation uses to negotiate and positively influence the staff to achieve the outcomes of the organisation. (3 key points X 5 marks each = 15 marks)
  • Discuss FIVE HRM functions that the organisation uses to negotiate and positively influence the staff to achieve the outcomes of the organisation. (5 key points X 5 marks each = 25 marks)

Understand moral, ethical, regulatory and practical issues to promote compliance with internal requirements.

Question 2 (30 marks. Word limit: 450-500 words)

Using ONE of the positions as an example in the selected organisation, answer the following questions.

  • Discuss TWO moral issues and TWO practical issues relevant to human resource planning that the organisation can use to promote compliance with internal requirements in your selected organisation. (4 issues X 3.5 marks each = 14 marks)
  • Examine TWO ethical issues and TWO regulatory issues relevant to job analysis that the company can use for the above position to promote compliance with internal requirements in your selected organisation. (4 issues X 4 marks each = 16 marks)
