Meetings are used to review the progress that has been made on the construction .They can also be used to seek opinions and communicate any change of plan concerning the construction project being undertaken. They are also used to get the feedback and the opinion of project team regarding their experience with the project. Meetings are also used to solve any challenges that may arise within the course of construction process (Halpin & Senior, 2011).

The frequency of meetings may vary from team to team. They may be held on weekly basis or after two weeks .Bi weekly meetings are however the most common .It is the work of the contractor to initiate, review and approve group meetings involving the members of a project team. The contractor can hold meetings with either the whole project team the subcontractor’s foreman in order to ascertain and review the progress being made on the job. Apart from reviewing projects progress .Meetings can be held to plan activities to be carried out until when the next period is held.

Meetings play significant roles in as far as the project is concerned .Incase of frequent accidents safety meetings can be held to access the causes and how these accidents can be eliminated. Other safety concern s such as health related and environment safety risks can also affect projects .Such meetings help in enhancing safety of the project team to facilitate smooth running of the project.

Project risks are those unfortunate events that can have profound impact on achievement of project’s objectives if they occur .Risk such as failing to meet deadlines of running out of budget may affect projects negatively. Meetings help in early identification of such risks and coming up with mitigation strategies early enough before these risk can tamper with the scope of the project.

Quality of the project refers to the ability of the project to be able to meet its intended objectives within the time and budget estimates. Projects require quality planning, assurance, control and improvement. Unlike these are put in consideration the project might not be able to meet its intended objectives or the expectations of the users. With regards to management of the quality of the project meetings play a significant role. Meetings are used to plan the quality of the project by coming up with specifications that the project have .Regular meetings can be used to assess the performance of the project in relation with the established project objectives .By reviewing project performance deviations can be established ad corrective measures put in place to ensure quality of the construction project being undertaken. They can also help to make improvement on the project being undertaken (Harris, McCaffer & Edum,2013).
