It is one of the major issues faced by today’s’ organization as the employees belong to different countries and the culture, language, traditions, etc. are totally different from each other. It creates conflict among the employees (Willmott, 2011). So it is very important for the companies to manage these issues. The business organization has now become diversified with multi cultures and backgrounds. In such situation the conflicts take place when the employees make groups and start criticizing other people (Zott, Amit, & Massa, 2011).
No direct contact and distance to office-
It is the situation when the employees work at different place, freelance, distance learning, etc. in such cases, communications take place through email, video conferencing, meme, etc. there is no personal communication take place in such cases due to which a detachment in their between the employees and employers (Grimshaw, Eccles, Lavis, Hill, & Squires, 2012). Many times, the project and other data are misunderstood.
Failure to listen
Many times, much confusion takes place due the inactive listening. It is a problem that may lead in serous conflicts between the co-workers and employees (Simpson, 2015). It can also take place when there is ineffective listening, interruption, less concentration, distractions, etc.
Authority and hierarchy problems-
There are situations when the employees are unable to approach and meet to their superior due to the hierarchy and authority difference. In such situation, the workers feel reticent and detach him from the project or work. This results in increase in the gap between the employees and the employers (Cullen, &Chawner, 2011).
The relationship between the business issue and model
There are various types of models that can help the companies to resolve the above written issues in the effective communication (Berger, 2015).
Linear model
The problem of active listening can be resolved by using this model to the business organization. In the linear model, there is one way communication takes place with others. This model comprises of sender encoding a message and channeling the message to the receiver in the presence of the noise (Zott, Amit, & Massa, 2011). It helps the company to develop the habit of active listening to those employees and people.
Interactive model
It is one of the major models used by almost all the organization to resolve each and every issue take place in an organization. This is due to the fact that in this model the transactions take place between two or more parties (Eriksson, &Kovalainen, 2015). This model is also known as two linear models. The sender sends the message to the receiver and then the receiver turns into the sender. In this way the cycle goes on as the sender sends the message to the original sender (Grunig, 2013). Many times, there is an additional feedback given by any part that is the part of the communication process.
Transactional model
The assumption of this model is that all the people in the process of communicationare engaged to each other through the communication. It says that the sender and receiver are not only sender or receiver. It also says that the communication is affected by the all the parties who are involved in the process of communication (Ostmann, &Nagatsuma, 2011). This model belies that there must be feedback after each and every conversational as it avoid misconception, chaos, confusions, and leads in effective and better communication. This mode helps in brining improvement in the issues related to the authority difference, intercultural and interpersonal communication issues (Golob et al, 2013).
