Answer:
1.Identification of the leadership approach and the manner in which it can be helpful in the proficient management of the organizational workforce is the main topic of the literature review. On the other hand, the discussion also reflects on the identification of the varied leadership approaches and the manner in which it can be enhanced for integrating the workforce. It specializes on the creation of the inter- trust factor among the subordinates and the management.
The divergences in the approaches of the leaders is portrayed as part of the discussion and it has reflected on the needs of leadership coaching , which helps in enhancing the performance of the managers while mitigating the different issues that are faced by the workforce. Reid III (2017) stated that leadership plays a major role in maintaining the different levels of improvements in the organizational operations as per the market considerations. Therefore, it might be stated that the discussion on coaching the leaders of the organization will be helping the same in the efficiency in managing the workforce based on the identification of the needs of the same. The functioning of the subordinates and the manner in which the leaders motivate the same helps in the smooth functioning of the workforce and thereby the business.
The literature review enumerates the needs of enforcing and empowering the leaders with the capability of uplifting the interests of the workforce to maintain the smooth performance criteria. Alternatively, the study also aims at reflecting on the behavior of the leaders and thereby determines the psychology of the same, which is induced through the coaching. The coaching will be helping the leaders in proactively involving themselves in the welfare of the workforce and thereby facilitate the smooth performance of the same. It will be helping the organization to undertake the smooth functioning of the processes.
Development of leadership practices is also induced through the enumeration of the coaching that is provided to the leaders of the organization. The identification of the different leadership theories and the manner in which they ate incorporated in the leaders through the coaching forms the most integral part of the research that is undertaken by the researcher. It has helped in maintaining the different paradoxical changes in the systems of the business through the rapid changes in the approaches that are implemented by the leader earlier. The identification and utilization of the current literature has helped the researcher in defending the different situations and the statements that are made by the same. It helps in the identification of the relative steps that are undertaken by the researcher to delve into the psychology of the leaders and the manner in which the inter- trust factor can be enhanced within the management of the organization and the workforce.
2.The mixed method that is being utilized as part of the research has helped the researcher in identifying the different pros and cons of the coaching that is provided to the leaders and the subordinates. The salient features of the mixed method that is utilized for the data collection are the utilization of the qualitative and the quantitave methods where the researcher has utilized a survey questionnaire and referred to the current literature for gathering the data. It has helped the researcher in understanding the views of the leaders post coaching as well as facilitate the comparison between the relevant theories of efficient leadership top encourage the involvement of the workforce. The utilization of the quanti -quali approach in the research has helped the researcher in making the different assumptions of the changes as per the needs of the study to bear unbiased outcomes on judging the pros and cons of the coaching session. The application of the mixed method in the research has helped the researcher in distinguishing between the different experiences of the leaders post the coaching and thereby correlating with the different theories that are found through the evaluation of the current literature. The differences in the systems of the leadership are better understood through the identification of the different theories that adds to the context of the experiences of the leaders.
The utilization of the mixed method for the research is appropriate for retaining the unbiased outcome, which will be helping the researcher to understand the different pros and cons of the coaching. The enhancement in the efficiency of the leadership is evidenced through the different experiences of the leaders that are collected through the survey questionnaire. On the other hand, the correlation of the different concepts is identified through the application of the different theories that are recollected by the researcher while undertaking the literature review. It has helped the researcher in comparing and contrasting the varied concepts of leadership with the different issues that are faced by the leaders while managing the workforce.
3.The data collection method that is utilized by the researcher as per the research objectives are dependent on the identification of the samples and the manner in which the concepts of efficient leadership are being induced by the researcher. The questionnaire that was designed as a part of the study helped the researcher to identify the manner in which the effective leadership approach is being induced in the leaders through the coaching session. The sampling of the 34 participants was formulated for a week and thereby the responses to the questionnaire were recorded for enumerating an unbiased outcome of the study. The questionnaire helped the researcher in maintaining the different changes in the systems of the research to justify the utilization of the coaching and the manner in which the coaching helped the leaders in enhancing the leadership qualities and the inter- trust factor.
The identification of the opinions of the leaders while undertaking the survey has helped in maintaining the different levels of changes in the systems of leadership qualities. The researcher is facilitated with the utilization of the survey as the identification of the different feedbacks from the leaders and the subordinates helped in designing the hypothesis as per the objectives of the research (Akpinar 2016). The responses from the leaders has helped the researcher in identifying the meditative role of the leaders to identify the different benefits of the data that is collected and the manner in which they are presented to suit the purpose of the study objective. The identification of the issues relating to the inter- trust context between the management and the workforce and the manner in which they can be mitigated is being discussed has helped in maintaining the smooth performance of the workforce. The research also enumerates the needs of the leaders to bring in changes in the approaches and the current behavioral strategies, which is facilitated through the identification of the different theories. The theories have helped the researcher in maintaining the different assumptions to support the correlation between the functions of the leaders and the manner in which they are associated with the performance of the workforce.
4.For making the discussion more authentic and justifiable the author conducted a research or field experiment on the efficacy of leaders’ role and their trust on the subordinates. It can be argued that sampling strategy is very pivotal for conducting a research. The sampling strategy encompasses the value and the purpose of the research stapled with the research ethics. There are three steps for implementing an effective sampling strategy. The steps are a) understand the principle facets of the research design, b) determine the sampling technique will aligned with the purpose and methods of the design that is proposed for the research and c) consider the relevance and importance of choosing the samples for the research. There are a number of sampling types that researchers are targeted for achieving their proposed aims for the research (Etikan, Musa and Alkassim 2016).
In this regard, the research in this discussion is putting emphasis on choosing sample in the form of seven experienced coaches who are certified professionals and very professional in their jobs. This is considered to be a type of purposive sampling technique. According to the purpose sampling technique it can be argued that this technique is highly based on the judgmental and subjecting sampling of non-probability sampling technique. The main feature of the purposive sampling technique highlights a particular characteristic of a population of interest (Etikan, Musa and Alkassim 2016). In fact, for the mixed methods of research design it does not consider to be an ineffective sampling technique. As a matter of fact, this technique helps the researcher to get the specific result that he aspires to get. Furthermore, the homogeneous nature of the purposive sampling shares the same characteristics based on the criteria set by the researcher.
Based on this understanding it can be argued that this research firmly relied upon the homogeneous traits of the purposive sampling. In this context, the homogeneous traits can be defined as the same occupation of the samples. All the samples are professional coaches and have certificate from the Co-Active Coaching and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014). In this regards, it can be argued that the sampling method that had taken for this research were very authentic and reliable. In fact, it can also be asserted that the technique was free from any kind of biasness. In course of this process, it was able to generate right and actual outcome of the research that in return helped the researchers to draw an unbiased conclusion.
5.The data analysis strategy that is being utilized by the researcher in the quantitative part of the research is based on the statistical representation of data, which has helped the researcher in enumerating the different outcomes from the survey. It has helped the researcher in understanding the different numerical counts and thereby judging the outcome of the research, which is related to the efficiency of the coaching on empowering the activities that are undertaken by the leaders of the organization. The researcher has utilized the different mean scores from the surveys for studying the differences n the approaches and experiences of the samples for the research (Insan et al. 2013). Proper evaluation of the different data analysis has helped the researcher in undertaking steps to facilitate the unbiased outcome of the research. On the other hand, the utilization of the relevant theories in the context has helped the researcher in comparing the scores more effectively to match up to the objectives of the research.
The differences in the values that are calculated by the researcher while undertaking the statistical representation of the data have helped in maintaining the unbiased outcome of the research. The researcher utilized correlation and regression for identifying the different responses and thereby compare and contrast between the same top attain the specific standpoints of the study. It has helped the researcher in making a conclusion of the study based on the comparison of the quantitative data with the different literature and theories. It has helped the researcher in undertaking an authentic research survey on the different aspects of the coaching and the manner in which the coaching helps in maintaining a proper paradigm with the research objective. The differences in the research outcomes and the manner in which the data is represented through utilization of the mean, median and mode have helped the researcher in actualizing the effect of the coaching of the leaders on the efficiency of the same. The identification of the different needs of the researcher to evaluate the different possible scenarios is facilitated through the utilization of the statistical representation of data.
6.Research ethics is imperative to get an analysis of the proposed research project. In other words, it can be opined that the research ethics is responsible to provide guidelines to conduct the research authentically. Moreover, the ethical consideration is related to the authenticity and the standard of the research. In this regard, there are several components that reflect the authenticity of the research. The elements are objectivity, integrity, carefulness, openness, confidentiality, social responsibility and legality (Harriss and Atkinson 2015).
In case of carried out the research it is very important that the research strictly follows the ethical standards, otherwise it would not be granted and considered falsified. The objectivity of a research deals with the experimental design, data analysis and peer review. In this context, the author took a number of peer reviewed articles in order to construct a literature review of the discussion. Moreover, the samples were also taking into ethical consideration. The certified professional orientation of the sample coaches proved their authenticity and gave a justification for the truth of the result (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014).
Integrity is supposed to be another important facet for conducting a research ethically sound. In this research, the author did not put any pressure on the respondents. Out of 34 leaders there only 24 participants were incorporated into the final analysis which proves the core identification of the research.
Besides this, carefulness is also a significant component of a research. It incorporates the idea of avoiding errors and negligence. Critical examining is a core characteristic of research methods that helps to keep good records of the key findings. In this context, this research also followed the same line by putting more emphasis on the critical examining process.
Openness is associated with the elements of share data, results, tools and resources. In fact, open to criticism and incorporating fresh ideas are also identified as important aspects of a research method (Millum and Sina 2014). This research was also going to maintain those criteria by using tools and resources in a very transparent way. Sharing the data and the analytical framework proved the openness of the research (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014).
Confidentiality is considered to be another major factor for research method. Confidentiality of the respondents is also identified as a significant factor of the social responsibility as well (Millum and Sina 2014). In course of this research, those factors were strictly been followed by the author and not a single time the research revealed any personal records of the participators.
7.There are four factors that the author had mentioned for the completion of the research. It was aligned with the theory of leadership. The author first discussed about the Leader role efficacy (LRE) (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014). It can be defined as the ability or the confidence of a leader to mobilize and motivate his subordinates. Through the research, the author tried to point out the efficiency of a leader to usher his confidence on the basis of specific behaviours. The ability of judgement is also a key component that helps to understand the role of the leaders in course of motivating the subordinates.
In addition to this, the factor of Leaders’ trust in subordinates (LTS) is also important in this discussion. According to this understanding, it can be argued that the mutual influence process between the leaders and the subordinates paves the way for establishing a good and effective leadership in work. Leaders need to trust their subordinates in order to generate maximum quality of work (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014). Based on this understanding, the research also tried to figure out the vitality of the leaders’ trust on their subordinates. Finally, in an addition the research included the three control variables in the form of the assigned coach, gender and the tenure of the leaders in the present job.
In addition to this, the empowerment and turnover intentions are also important for the leaders. It is associated with the psychological understanding. It can be ascribed that the intention of the coach is highly intertwined with his ability to perform. Negative intention in the form of turnover will be detrimental for the coaches or the leaders in order to perform efficiently (Robertson 2016). As a matter of fact, the research findings also identifies the same way by stating that the empowering the leaders to some extent will be helpful to make the effective and more prone towards the job.
Coach behaviour is also important in this regards. The empirical evidences show that the behaviour of the leaders is associated with their trust in the subordinates (Robertson 2016). It also reduces the possibility of risks that can be emerged during decision making. It can also be asserted that the propensity of the influencing factors of the leaders to trust their subordinates will be greater and stronger with their high level of behaviour. Subsequently, the research follows the same argument by stating that the findings proved the behaviour of the leaders as a determinant factor of enhancing their ability (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014).
8.This research is mainly focused on the leadership coaching as an effective practice. In order justify leadership coaching as an effective tool to develop the leaders more accurate and efficient; the research article conducted a research to provide empirical data in support of leadership coaching. There are a number of components and traits in leadership that can influence the leadership quality. Based on this understanding the research took an affirmative step by underlining the major traits of leadership. Moreover, with the help of a fieldwork it authenticates the effectiveness of the leadership coaching as a significant framework for the benefits of the leaders (Robertson 2016).
In this context, there are two major objectives that the author has mentioned. The first objective deals with the leader role efficacy (LRE). This theoretical concept became a part of the foundation of this research article and the fieldwork as well. By conducting a thorough investigation on selective samples the article concluded that leader role efficacy is one of the major elements that enhance the ability and self confidence of the leader (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014). Moreover, this LRE is also considered to be a principle element of the leadership coaching method. In addition to this, the leader trust in subordinate (LTS) also plays a pivotal part in building a strong leadership quality. According to this article, the LTS influences the performance of the leaders and provides a high quality relationship between leader and the subordinates.
On the other hand, the second major objective of the article is related to the degree of influence of leadership coaching on leader role efficacy (LRE) and leader trust in subordinates (LTS). The summative evaluation and the formative analysis are the major components in this regard. The outcome of the quasi experimental field study lend support to the hypothesis done by the author and proved that the leadership coaching will be beneficial for developing a strong and effective leadership quality (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014).
Despite of achieving all the criteria for creating quality leadership the fieldwork faced some challenges. For an instance, the culture specific criterion is not present in the test which is considered to be an important factor for effective leadership. In addition to this, the sample size was typical and based on multivariate statistics that could not generate enough statistical power (Robertson 2016). However, it can be concluded that the study focused on the mixed method design that provided further opportunities for development. Moreover, the combined impact of the methods and data sources is considered to be positive factor for the article. In this manner, the author succeeded to achieve the objectives of his study.
