Introduction
In this report, an "ABC" company is accomplished a physical network installation testing by the windows server 2008 R2 as well as on a virtual environment. Here windows server 2008 R2 is used in the server side to support DHCP, DNS, active directory, IIS website, user portability and SMTP server. In the later part of this assignment is showing more details of the above mention services. However, a network architecture also shown below to support an enhance adaptability of existing network of ABC company.
Difficulties
In this project there are a lot of things that are based on network address, therefore network addressing is a very critical thing that can be consider as the difficulty for this assignment. For this assignment, another major thing is creating DHCP pool and test in on another virtual system. However, after a lot of research on these things, it was completely successfully work and this report also showing all success of evidences.
Conclusion
In this report, the ABC company have introduced a windows server installation and configure some application or services. This company have four different departments which will be access the windows server applications. Here the windows server configures as an active directory to use centralized user’s authentication. This authentication is achieved through the user group policy and radius server. Then a simple mail transfer protocol is installed in this server, initially there are no option to select the SMTP server because the SMTP server included in the IIS 6. Therefore, here the IIS 6 feature was installed before start configuring the SMPT server. However, in this report all the information and configuration as well as some images showing the success of evidence of all installation are included. After achieving all the configuration, it can be concluded that this report coven all expects of ABC company’s network administration.
