Work Breakdown Structure

Work breakdown structure is a primary deliverable that systematizes the work of the team into manageable segments.  The Work Breakdown Structure is used for the project management by the organizations in order to break down the project into manageable segments.  It helps the organizations to handle the difficult projects through dividing the project into easier sections. With the help of the work breakdown structure, the estimation of the cost, the man force required and the time that the project takes to complete can be analyzed easily. The work breakdown structure defines the sequence of the activities and the time estimation of every activity in the project completion. The assigning of the activities also becomes easier with the work breakdown structure. Work breakdown structure is basically a visual for the activities and the flow of the activities. In the development of the web application includes the deliverables that are requirements analysis, project plan, web application analysis, application design, application development, application testing and application implementation. The sub-activities of the deliverables are also defined in the work breakdown structure (Workbreakdownstructure, 2017; Tutorials point, 2017).

Gantt chart

The organizations use Gantt chart in the management of the project as it simplifies the tasks and defines the sequence of the tasks that takes place in the project completion.  The Gantt chart is one of the most popular tools that help to demonstrate or represent the activities of the project and the start as well as the end time of the project (Mindtools.com, 2017).

The flow of the activities, the start and the end time, total time of every activity, connection between the activities and start and the end date of the overall project can be determined through Gantt chart. Gantt chart assists the project manager as well as the team members to determine the critical path that is the longest time the various activities of the project takes in completion. The various activities of the project plan are represented along with the connection between the activities. The Gantt chart is provided below for the project plan of the development of the web application (Tech Target, 2017).  

Time-phased budget 

The time-phased budget for the project was $ 50,000. In the development of the website application, the organization considered 20 percent of the budget for the fringe that was $ 10,000 out of the total budget. The direct costs in the budget were $ 35,000. The other costs of the organization were assumed $ 1500.  The indirect costs are compulsory for the programs of the organization but at the same time, it is also complex to attribute directly to the individual programs. The indirect costs incorporate salaries of the bookkeeper and as the organization are based on the information technology so the budget for the general technology updates is also considered and the insurance of the general liabilities. These programs of the organization have to hold an appropriate section of these costs. The indirect costs are planned as 10 percent of the direct expense of the programs of the organization (Accounting Tools, 2017). The indirect costs were $ 3500. The budget of the web application project was decided considering the estimated costs of the project as well as including the other costs. The employees were provided with the salary on the basis of the pre-assumed costs for per hour pay that was defined suitably and according to the efforts, the work takes. The most prominently, the addition of the fringe in the project budget was an advantageous point. The indirect costs of the project were also considered because the sponsors settled to include the indirect costs in the budget of the project (Arline, 2015).

Risk Register

The management of the risk is essential to achieve the success in any of the project and its planning process.  The risk register is the master document that is created in the initial stage of the project. It is an important element that is required in the risk management plan. The risk register helps to determine the risks and the problems. The determination of the new risks and the implementation of the course of action in order to manage the risks as well as the problems can be done through the risk register. As the organization face risk in the project management, so it is essential to create the risk register. The risk registers help to make decisions regarding the risks in the most appropriate way. The risk register for the development of the web application is created below (Chandana, 2013) (Public Services and Procurement Canada, 2017).

Quality Management Plan 

The Quality Management Plan describes the suitable level of the quality that is characteristically cleared by the customer as well as how the project will be able to make certain the level of the quality in the deliverables and the processes of the work. The quality management activities make sure that the produced product can meet the standards and the requirements, the work processes are executed efficiently and the corrective actions are taken. The monitoring of the activities in order to assure the quality of the deliverables is also considered (Project Management Tips, 2017).

Objective

The objective is to provide an effective and quality website application through the quality management plan in order to meet the requirements of the customers and assigning the responsibilities to the team efficiently so that the goals can be met.

Development of the quality issues of the project

Testing: In order to identify the defects and manage the quality, it is essential to conduct testing of the website efficiently. The testing is the main activity to identify the errors in the website application and to analyze the working of the website in every stage.

Client Review: In order to analyze the bugs in the application as well as the expectation of the customers from the website application, it is essential to incorporate the customers for the review of the website application that will help to implement more corrective actions regarding the application working.

Security and usability testing: The testing of the website application as a user is essential. It will help to ensure the working of the application and to analyze whether the layout of the website is supportive to the user. The security testing helps to analyze the authentication process of the users in order to make certain that the information of the users is safe and the unauthorized person will not be able to hack the other user's information (Pääkkönen & Jokitulppo, 2017).

Project Closure Check List and Evaluation 

The project closure checklist reviews and concentrates on the information and the data from the project. The data of the project regarding the processes that have been planned and the completion of the project according to the plan are considered. The closing of the project is equally important as starting the project. The objective of creating the closure checklist is to tell the team members again regarding the completion of the activities during the closure of the project. In order to meet the final result it is essential to prepare the closure checklist of the project. It also helps to check and deal with the incomplete tasks and the related issues of the project (Project Management Tips, 2017; Sequeira, 2013).
