Curran v Collins : Case Note

Read the case of Curran v Collins [2015] EWCA Civ 404 (CA), which can be found in the assignment folder. The assignment is to write a case note on it. This is an individual piece of work, not group work. You only have 1000 words so do not spend the time simply recounting the facts of the case; concentrate on the law and critical analysis. It may be separated into three parts: facts, judgment, and analysis.

Every legal journal contains case notes. It would be wise to read some examples before undertaking this piece of work to get an idea of what we want. The Conveyancer and Property Lawyer contains many examples on this type of case. Students will need to research and reference appropriate sources i.e. legal journals and law reports.
