Ubmm3023 Organisational Development|Selected Company Assessment Answer

Each group (consisting of 5 members from the same tutorial group) is required to select ONE COMPANY. This group assignment requires each group to search for information on organisational development and changes related to the company selected. Information can be sourced from academic journals, magazines, the Internet, and any other business publications. Each group is required to select a company and register their company/ organisation with the respective tutor in week 2. Every group in each tutorial class has to choose a different company. If there is a case of two groups or more in the same tutorial class selecting the same company, the decision will be based on first come first serve basis.
The group is required to write a report on the selected company. Each report should contain the following:
1. Introduction • Company Background, nature of business, culture and etc.
2. Diagnosis of problem faced by the organization. • Students to clearly identify the problems faced by the selected company from the aspect of organization development that requires changes to take place (pertaining to the organizational competitive position, employees' development and relations and public responsibilities). Students may search for the information as far back as the last 10 years, if the students wish to do so.
3. Any TWO (2) Organisational Development Intervention Strategies that took place in the  
selected company to resolve problems/ enable change programs in part 2. • Explain the nature of changes for each of the area. • Explain factors (internal or external environment) influencing the change, objectives of change, cost involved, duration and etc. • Elaboration of these strategies - to analyze and discuss the practices/ operation of the change program (parties involved in change: internal or external consultants, work groups/units, change(s) in value chain activities, and etc) • To analyze and discuss the selected company's intervention strategies related to the theories derived from learning
4. Recommendations • Analyze and highlight the selected company's intervention strategies whether need to be changed or maintained so that the strategies can be used in long-term duration.
5. Conclusions • Summarize the overall report.
