Task:

Analyse and evaluate the influence of cultural and interpersonal effects on the decision making behaviour of a target market. Then make recommendations about how this knowledge could improve/enhance a firms marketing strategies. 

Identify a case organisation and focus on one of their product/service offerings. Write a report analysing and evaluating the cultural and interpersonal effects influencing the decision making of one target market for that offering. Based on your analysis and evaluation make recommendations for how marketers (in your firm) can apply this critical understanding to mprove/enhance the firm's marketing strategies (4 Ps or 7 Ps, targeting, market segmentation). 

Step 1: Choose an organisation, a specific product/ service offering and specific target market to focus on. 

Step 2: Collect information to allow you to analyse and evaluate the cultural and interpersonal influences that are influencing the target market.

Step 3: Write your report 

You will need to do the following things (choices about structure are up to you: 

Outline the context by describing the organisation / offering / target market. Include an overview of the firm’s current marketing strategy. 

Outline the areas of theory that are relevant to your case organisation. This can be separate or integrated into the description of the context. It is good practice, when you begin to talk about a theoretical concept to make sure it is defined. 

Provide an analysis of the information you have collected about the cultural and interpersonal influences on behaviour. 

Evaluate the nature of those influences and the implication for consumer behavior.
