Chapter 2: Internal and External Analyses
In this chapter, you are to do a SWOT analysis of the company, which is divided into two parts: internal analysis of the company to find out its strengths and weaknesses, and the external analysis of its environment, to find out its opportunities and threats.
For the internal analysis, you may analyse the company’s current strategies, resources, value chain, organisational culture & architecture.
For the external analysis, you may do macro-environmental analysis [political, economic, socio-cultural, technological or PEST] as well as industry & competitor analysis [Porter’s 5 Forces].
At the end of this chapter, you should summarise your findings into a SWOT table.
