The Task: Your task is to consider one of the non-standard forms of employment within the Australian context (covered in Lecture 2) and write a reflective journal expressing your understanding of organisations’ obligations to workers, your own personal (or others’) experiences with this non-standard form of work, and your position on the future of this form of work – for example, will it become more standard than non-standard; and what are the future implications for workers and employers. We recommend that you follow this format when you are preparing your reflective journal. 1. Choose only ONE non-standard form of work – either Casual, Labour Hire, Fixed term contractors, and Independent Contractors.
