1. An essay of up to 1500 words evaluating the effectiveness of your professional development throughout the year of study on the MBA programme. The work needs to be presented as a discussion paper and critically reflect upon your personal and professional development gained from the formal, social and experiential learning on the course, from the induction until the final assessment deadline. You are expected to evaluate your individual achievements against the Intended Learning Outcomes for this unit, identify aspects of excellence and any areas for further development, and critically assess the key factors influencing your learning. Your work should also feature analysis of your individual PPD objectives as reflected in your PPD planand highlighted in the final version of your Learning Gains radar, and their attainment throughout the course. The reflective account should show evidence of engaging with reflective writing, and should also draw on appropriate theory and literature (academic and business). It could be complemented by your ‘exit’ contribution to the MBA year book capturing your development journey captured in a contemporary format. Your work has to be supported with references to relevant theories, models and practice. (2) Appendices evidencing your activities and the PPD outcomes, e.g. review of your PPD plan, initial and final version of your Learning Gains radar, influential reading list. Other material relevant to your personal and professional development, e.g. the work on further PPD tasks set throughout the year (as well as extra-curriculum activities such as the Global Talent Programme, STEEP), could be added to the Appendices for this portfolio.
