Description :
Finalize the DIDT145_Assignment_01_Lastname_Firstname.dwg by designing the interior layout and completing the floor plan for both the main floor and upper floor. Complete the front elevation as well as the section.
Objectives:
The objective of this assignment step is to complete the floor plans, elevation, and section, of retail space, restaurant, or spa
CIDA Standards :
- 9a: distill and visually communicate data and research.
- 9e: apply a variety of communication techniques and technologies appropriate to a range of purposes and audiences.
- 11b: explore two and three-dimensional approaches across a range of media types.
- 15h: students understand the formats, components, and accepted standards for an integrated and comprehensive set of interior construction documents.
Materials Required:
- AutoCAD software
- File titled DIDT145_Assignment_01_Lastname_Firstname.dwg
Instructions: (Please read the complete handout before starting the assignment.)
- Open your “DIDT145_Assignment_01_Lastname_Firstname.dwg”.
- Add appropriate layers for interior objects if not present.
- Complete the interior design of both ground level and upper level. Add as much detail as possible to complete the drawing. Design at least 6 rooms of various usages including but not limited to:
- Interior walls and doors
- Fixtures and furniture including millwork such as reception or cash desk, etc.
- Stairs and railings
- Insert appropriate blocks to complete the design (blocks can be used from other sources).
- Complete the design of the front elevation, including but not limited to:
- Windows and doors
- Signage
- Material hatching, etc.
- Complete the section based on the design of the floor plan, including but not limited to:
- Interior walls and structures including stairs and railings
- Furniture and fixtures
- Ceiling and lighting, etc.
- Save the file as “DIDT145_Assignment_02_Lastname_Firstname.dwg”
