Assignment: 

1. Select one of the following countries to research: China, Germany, India, Japan and Mexico.  These countries are some of the world’s largest economies.
2. Create a PowerPoint presentation using the guidelines below.

Slide 1 – Title Slide - include the following: (1 point)

• Title - name of the country you researched - using Times New Roman 26-point font.
• Sub-title – your first and last name - using Times New Roman 18-point font.
• An image of a map.
• Using a shape show the capital city on the map.

Slide 2 – Include the following: (1 point)

• An image of the flag of the Country.
• An image of the country’s most famous landmark.
• Currency used.
• Include a working hyperlink to a website that gives tourist information about the country.

Slide 3 – Create a table with 3 columns and 7 rows (including the heading row) as shown below and include the following information. You will need to do an online search to find the information. (Table 1 point, content 2 points)

1. List and explain one stereotype held by Americans of people of this Country.

2. List and explain one superstition in this Country.

Slide 10 - Define the following Hofstede dimensions: Individualism and Collectivism, Large and Small Power Distance, Strong and Weak Uncertainty Avoidance. Refer to the DCR textbook Leadership reading. (1 point)

Slide 12 – Compare and contrast the Country and the USA for Individualism vs Collectivism. Identify at least TWO differences or similarities. Refer to the Hofstede Compare Countries website. (1 point)

Slide 13 – Answer the following questions for Individualism vs Collectivism.  If a project team consisted of members of the Country and the US how would the difference/similarities in this dimension affect the interaction between the members?  (Review the Project Management Open Textbook reading and page 142 of the DCR textbook section on virtual teaming for your response.)
